My cousin got hit by a truck.
He’s fine nothing broken but he has the sickest bruise ever!! Like holy shit you can see the outline of his muscles and bones on his chest?
This thing is awesome. I told him he should get it tatted to always remember that he survived getting hit by a truck lol

I FUCKING THOUGHT IT WAS A TATTOO OKAY

Okay, I’m not saying he didn’t get hit by a truck but I just want to say this, please do your anatomy homework before stating something like this.
Why? Because as an Athletic Therapist, I can confidently state that those are not the outlines of the bones/muscles of his chest/arm. Those lines you see? Those are the result of a technique to reduce inflammation and heal contusions using Kinesiotape.
For those that don’t believe me, the muscle on his chest (pectoralis major) looks like this:

do any of those lines match up with the “outline”? No.
Here’s the reason for the lines and patterns:
This type of Kinesiotape job is designed to lift the skin slightly to provide room for the exudate to clear. In this case, following the fibres of the muscles to allow blood flow out from the contusion. Which is probably why he still has tape on (notice the black tape across his chest and across the back of his shoulder). We use this technique quite often after a traumatic event (like getting hit by a truck) or to help reduce swelling after surgery.
I hate to be the asshole that ruins this cool story, but please know your stuff before you shit on human anatomy, thank you.
